Epsom Handicap winner Captain Sonador is also backing up in the Cox Plate, the Shamardal four-year-old from Oakey in Queensland at the bottom of the betting markets paying $101 as they are untested over the Cox Plate distance.

The other runner paying $101 to win the Cox Plate is Macau gelding Luen Yat Forever, drawn ideally and set to improve second-up in Australia but allocated a hefty 59kg.
